MEETING IN ROOM 300.
Monday: Animation: Flipbook/Stop Animation Section Introduced: Today you will be introduced to the Animation Process. We will take a look at Pixar Animation "How We Do It"; Stop Animation- what it is and how it has been used; and finally, Flipbook Animation- what it is and how to create your own. (Lecture/Demonstration. Internet/projector technology used for lesson)

Tuesday: Using Powerpoint for Flipbook creation. Today you will get into groups of 3/4 to collaborate in creating animation movement in a powerpoint flipbook. (Laptops/Elmo/projector/internet technology used for lesson execution)
Wednesday: Vocational Fair. Today we will visit the Vocational Fair held by the Counseling department. We will record the event for a newscast. Included: Interviews with students, vendors, counseling department; B-roll footage. (Technology and skills needed: camera(s), tripod, microphone(s), xlr(s), tape(s), battery(s), interview techniques, and shot composition techniques)
Thursday and Friday: Flipbook Animation cont'd: Two other mediums utilitized in creating flipbook animation will be explored over these two days; (1) Digital camera and (2) hand drawn flippies. Short lecture/demonstration (illustrated examples will used for lesson/practice execution time slot.
Supplies needed: (Digital still camera, your cameral phone may be used as a source; card stock; internet/projector)
Handout: On Friday you will receive detailed instructions for your Flipbook assignment. You will have one week to complete your project. Some class time will be provided to work on your Animation Flipbook, however please plan for time outside the classroom to work on it as well.
