Week 30: March 21st through March 25, 2011

Monday:

Story Development cont'd/Makeup test (Unit 1 test)

Tuesday:

-Daily Dose of Television will resume starting today.

-We will have a short meeting on the status of your #2 taping assignment. Each crew will report on the status of their story development and I will decide on how each crew is to proceed based on the degree of proficiency in the Preproduction status of each crew.

-Lastly, we will begin the set up for a studio recording: This will be a two camera studio production simulation. Crew positions are as follows:

Producer/Director (Mrs. G)
Technical Director
Audio Technician(s)
2-camera operators
Production Assistant(s)
Talent

Students will be assigned a 'crew position' during the set up. This process ties in with the unit we have just completed on The TV Production Process. Mrs. G will be the producer.

Wedensday:

Today we will continue the Two Camera studio production simulation. Students will be assigned a position on the set, Mrs. G. will be the producer. We will practice the duties for each position through a simulated taping experience. Over the next several days, students will rotate through the different job positions and perform the duties specific to the job assigned. Students must log their time at each of the 5 job postings.

Note: Any crew that has a scheduled ENG (field taping) - see me in advance and please, make sure you get your studio time logged for the Studio Production Simulation.

ADVANCED/IS STUDENTS WILL CONTINUE UPLOADING PHOTOS FOR SENIOR VIDEO/EDITING SENIOR VIDEO/CREATING ADS FOR CABLE TELEVISION/ASSISTING WITH SET UP IN THE STUDIO
