Monday: STORYBOARDS & Pre-Production
Students will be introduced to the STORYBOARDING PROCESS - Students will be required to develop a storyboard for the "Story #1" assignment as part of their pre-production process.
Each crew will receive back their 11/24/10 Checklist items and will be either approved or denied (requiring further development)
Tuesday and Wednesday: Pre-ProductionProduction/
News Crews will work in teams and continue to develop the elements from the Story #1 checklist that are due to be turned in and/or revised for final approval..
In this lesson, students will produce a news broadcast. In teams of 4-5, students will create and film a segment of a school news show. In the process of planning their segments, students will study news broadcasts; learn how to create a production breakdown and create a shot list, production schedule and shooting schedule; utilize production and film techniques such as setting, presentation, props, camera angles and editing
