Monday: Videotaping Interviews
Lecture/Discussion/Demonstration: Today we will introducce sound advice for "Before the Interview" and "During the Interview" do's, don'ts, tips and techniques. This advice will be put to the test for when you plan and conduct interviews. You will be provided a handout "Advice on Videotaping Interviews for reference.
Tuesday: Camera Techniques
Students will be called upon to demonstrate various camera operating techniques that have been introduced and practiced over the past several weeks. As each crew is preparing to go back out into the field to videotape the next eng assignment we first need to continue with the mastery of specific skills that are critical to produce the news segment.
Wednesday/Thursday: Intro's and Outro's
Each crew will write and prepare an Intro and Outro that is exclusive to their news segment. With an "approved" copy, each crew will videotape their "Intro" and "Outro" for evaluation.
Friday: Review
Today we will review the weeks advice on Videotaping Interviews; Camera Techniques as well as Critique each "crews" intro/outro recordings.
