Lesson: Military Time Competency Objectives: The ad The adult learner will convert from civilian to military time. The adult learner will convert from military to civilian time. Suggested Criteria for Success: The learner will convert time successfully. Suggested Vocabulary: zero one hundred thirteen hundred hours zero two hundred fourteen hundred hours zero three hundred fifteen hundred hours zero four hundred sixteen hundred hours zero five hundred seventeen hundred hours zero six hundred eighteen hundred hours zero seven hundred nineteen hundred hours zero eight hundred twenty hundred hours zero nine hundred twenty-one hundred hours ten hundred hours twenty-two hundred hours eleven hundred hours twenty-three hundred hours twelve hundred hours twenty-four hundred hours Wednesday: Military Time Students will be introduced to Military time conversion. The primary purpose of military time system is to prevent confusion between A.M. and P.M. Aside from the armed forces, military time is being implemented by train, bus, ships, airplanes and other entities to supply accurate schedule. (elmo/handout/worksheet/military time bingo/homework) Thursday Military Time Drill: We will continue with Military Time Conversion. We will review homework conversion worksheet and students will be called upon to convert Military Time to Civilian Time as well as convert Civilian Time to Military Time. (Homework assignment on Video Camera Manual) Friday Students will be given Assessment #4/Level 4 Test. We will watch the Filmmaking Techniques videos that best represent the techniques from the assignment. We will discuss how these techniques can be used to enhance future recordings.
