This week will be dedicated to writing an effective Public Service Announcement. You will learn what a PSA is; How to approach writing a PSA; Selecting a topic for your PSA; and begin writing a rough draft for your PSA Assignment. You will also be introduced to Teleprompter techniques (helpful tips) and be provided practice time on the teleprompter.

PSA Writing: A public service announcement (PSA) or public service ad is a type of advertisement featured on television, radio, print or other media. Whereas the objective of a standard advertisement is to market a product, a PSA is intended to benefit the public interest, by raising awareness of an issue, affecting public attitudes, and potentially stimulating action.
