Over the next two weeks, we will be learning about the most commonly used cable and connector types used in TV Production. We will also examine diagrams, layouts and connectivity of components in a schematic. Through lecture, demonstration, and practices exercises, and class participation you will master identification if cables/connectors; the signal type of each cable/connector; how to read and create a schematic/diagram of video components in various states of design.

Attached is a Schematic Layout of a Talk Show Set. All the audio and video components needed to record a talk show are present on the layout. Print out a copy of the schematic and draw the 'connectivity' lines as demonstrated in class: click here to view
