Monday - No School. Teacher's Record Day
Tuesday - 1st Day of Second Semester
Today we I will be handing out the "Task Achievement" form. Everyone filled one out at the beginning of the 1st Semester. You are to fill out the form, with today's date, and we will compare how much you have learned in the various disciplines of Television throughout the semester. Student's new to the class will also fill out a form and this will be your 'baseline' for comparison down the road.
Wednesday - Web Search on Movie Reviews
We will look at samples of various writing styles on movie reviews. Looking fat specific techniques used to; 1) convey an opinion on a movie; 2) discuss actors; 3) address directing, editing and cinematography; 4) summarize the movie, without giving away too much; and 5) conclude a review wrapping up your overall opinion
Thursday - Movie Review Hand Outline Handout/Lecture/Discussion
We will go over the elements required for the movie review on Apocalypto and begin to write your review outline
Homework: Complete outline according to directions for each section.
Friday - Movie Review Outline: Today, we will be in a group setting and go around the room reading aloud parts of your review outline. Suggestions and critiques will be offered.
Homework: Using your Outline, you are to type your finished Movie Review over the weekend, scheduled to be turned in on Monday, January 31st.
